Nicolas Hulot. Can Mr. Ushuaïa weigh in on 2007's presidential campaign and convince politicians to finally take seriously the climate threat?

This page is interesting: http://www.nouvelobs.com/dossiers/p2183/a315388.html

The question always comes up: how much does the defender of the planet win with Ushuaia shower gels? Answer: 0 euro. Hulot is just an employee of TF1, very well paid (30 000 euros per month). And only the One is the owner of the eco label that pays big. It has sold the license to about fifteen companies that manufacture shampoos (L'Oreal), cars (Peugeot), camping equipment, glasses or watches. Which brought him, between 1992 and 1997, 91 millions of euros. Not to mention the royalties that the chain collects on the sale of products stamped Ushuaia: every year the French buy 100 million euros. For TF1, this trade can "offset" the very high cost of production of "Ushuaia Nature" (1 million euros per episode). This is the price that each quarter 7 to 8 million viewers (33% of average audience) can admire the great apes of Africa or "Bengal Tigers" (next issue) ... Because that "they are worth it".
