The magazine "Automotive Engineer" asked the designers of the British car manufacturer "Lotus" to design an all-electric urban concept car; They took the Smart ForTwo and the Toyota iQ as models ...

The 37 kW electric motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The car can reach a maximum speed of 125 km / h and cover a distance of 50 kms after a full charge that will have lasted more than three hours on a standard power outlet.

Even if the dimensions are almost identical to those of the Smart ForTwo, this concept can still accommodate four people.

Generally, access to the rear seats in this type of vehicle is not easy. This is why the firm opted instead for sliding side doors.

"With the number of households in Europe owning two or more cars, having one vehicle just for short trips makes sense," explains Russel Carr, head of Lotus Design.
