Growth, Energy, Risk Factors: Prospects for 2030

by jean63 » 01/02/07, 13:37

Sorry, I only saw the end and it only lasts a few minutes:

An excellent program proposed on Arte by Jean-Christophe Victor (son of Paul-Emile Victor) => The bottom of the cards:
GROWTH, ENERGY AND RISK FACTORS: PROSPECT 2030

Director: AlainJomier
Author: Jean-Christophe Victor
Producer: ARTE France

Growth, energy and risk factors. What are the prospects for 2030?

What will our future be like, especially on growth issues, what sources of energy will be used by 2030?
The increase in oil and gas prices, the already started climate change, raise questions about the economic development models for the decades to come. Now, you will no doubt be surprised by some of these forecasts.

...... which clearly shows the growth of the GDP in the 25 years to come (one will not make me believe that the growth of the GDP will be accompanied by a decrease in CO2 emissions):

It is probably interesting to watch the video (0,99 euros). I missed the broadcast yesterday. There are redifs in the week.

But just by looking at the 4 world maps with the evolutions between now and 2030:

1 - GDP growth.
2 - Demography
3 - Energy consumption
4 - Evolution of energy consumption by "type" of energy

You can watch it again during the day on weekdays on TNT (see the hours on the ARTE website) or pay 0,99 euros to watch the video on the internet.

toto65 =>

I am downloading it, it costs 0,99 euro and it is a limited rental. I don't think we can keep the video afterwards.
For Christmas I offered the DVD box

Lucky the one who got it.

I find that JC Victor has a way of explaining complicated things in a simple way, it's great work.

it's downloaded there: I watched it ==> EXCEPTIONAL.

it promises beautiful hot days ............. or very cold (if the theory of the shutdown of the Gulf Stream comes true !!). : Evil:

Let us hope that the forecasts of the OECD and the CIE will not be realized.
