In fact at the limit your graph with the hourly cost of oil sticks even better: https://www.econologie.com/fichiers/partager2/1287881170zYuW29.jpg I say at the limit because there is a big increase in the cost in 1997 which does not have repercussions, we would have to see if it is global or only French.

I am not convinced of the logic, but wish you could look at the price of oil 3 years ago. https://www.econologie.com/fichiers/partager2/1287858416RppMeB.jpg The correlation seems much better to me. 79 - 84 high price 82 - 87 large deficits Peak price in 90, peak deficit in 93 ...

yeah but then there c reversed !!!

The curve you have set is world growth on the French deficit. It sticks really well, but then the greater the growth, the greater our deficit! ?

Yeah and that's a more global pb (little or no government ties). Moreover it fits extremely well with the theories of Jancovicy who says among other things that an increase in the price of oil corresponds to an increase in unemployment 3 years later. http: //www.manicore.com/documentation/petrole/petrole ...

Ah yeah not bad.

Indeed it kills the received idea. However, you should know that there are sometimes long-term effects.

However, we still don't have the real figures for the annual cost of retirement with a history. Thank you gebe, it's already not bad, but these are only predictions including 2010 based on the very atypical year 2009. Well done Christophe for taking into account the interest on the debt. Speaking of numbers...

Where do you have your retirement figures? I was having a hard time. For the total deficit, before 2002 it rarely exceeds 50 billion more than 3 times (around 1993) and by little. Before 2002 often below 30. Since 2002 it is often above but only exceeds 65 billion in 2009 or it reached 140 ...

No, France's per capita GDP is above Germany's (according to the IMF) sometimes it's the opposite, but it holds true anyway. (Germany GDP higher but population of 80 million against 65 million in France) https://www.econologie.com/fichiers/partager2/1287833456f2VC6b.png http://f...

No idea but still be careful not to touch them.

We talk about it more, we talked about it too much, but avian flu has neither completely invaded the planet (as we were afraid of a few years ago), nor completely disappeared today so we never know.

The link on INSEE is in current currency?

Because it is the evolution compared to the previous year. So apart from 94 and 2009 it actually only increases by 2 or 3% which corresponds well to doubling in 30 - 40 years.
