car radiator oxidation

by the middle » 15/08/08, 09:58

Hello,
Often I witness the slow death of the radiator of my car by oxidation :?
The copper fins, I believe, turn white, and slowly I witness the degradation of the radiator.
Is there a simple solution?

When I was mob and after a bowl I used the radiator "stop leak" ... it works quite well ... otherwise there are "cold welding" rubber compounds that you can use.

In both cases they are beautiful chemical filth but good ... it helps out well.

No, no, there are no leaks, it's the fine fins which do not contain water, who are eaten

Ah, in this case it's aluminum, right?

Finally, it doesn't matter ... do you have a photo to see the seriousness of the problem?

I have rarely seen radiators with the fins which remained nickel for a long time ...

So install GIMP! It's as powerful as Photoshop but in OpenSource: http://www.framasoft.net/article1054.html

After when your image is loaded in GIMP: IMAGE menu then IMAGE SIZE AND SCALE
