Make a Pelier fridge powered directly by PV panel

by eulenspi26 » 21/07/19, 19:25

I have a photovoltaic panel 500 mm * 320 mm 12 V whose characteristics (on the label) are:
Pmax 30 W
Ipmax 1.6 A
Vpmax 18 V
Isc 1.8 A
Voc 21 V

Would a Peltier module of this type plugged into this panel suffice to cool a very well insulated cabinet? Just drop a few degrees to keep fruits and vegetables from the garden

Is the blue module in the middle the ventilation unit? It then takes an outside air intake and an external discharge; that's it ?

Thank you for your lights.

The link is broken. : Evil:

Otherwise take a module peletier 12V (less than 5 € if you are not in a hurry - for 40mmx40mm). Glue one side onto some pretty big metal that goes into the cabinet. The condensation water will flow down the plate.
On the other side glue a recovery PC heatsink with its 12V fan.
Put the assembly in insulation (wood) centered on the module peletier.

Yes, I am taking a plan ... But a complete set is worth a dozen euros.

Here is the right link for the complete package:

If we start from a basic module like what you propose, does it necessarily have a fan to dissipate heat?

A big metal plate in the cold cabinet and a big metal plate outside could not do business?

Do not count : Cheesy:

They already have trouble maintaining + 4 ° in the small volume of a beer pump, as soon as the temperature exceeds 25 °, while consuming more than a fridge freezer 300 l : Mrgreen:

Good evening, the pelletier modules if I'm wrong there are in electric coolers, at least in their cover with a small fan
after we have to see to recover that the eve of the bulky objects, we still find quite a lot of things that still work

good night

Yes Oli, that's right.
I have just purchased (during delivery) Peltier modules and am planning to make a refreshed wardrobe.

Give us a report of the temperature reading inside the cabinet and outside, thermometer in a glass of water : Wink:
