The real axis of evil is Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Organized religion is the main source of hatred in the world: it is violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, and bigotry; it is invested in ignorance and hostile to free questioning, despises women and coerces children.

The right question would be: is religion the cause or the consequence?
Violence can interfere within any social organism (or domain of Ising), this is what we observe in certain conflicts of the 20th century.e century, largely secularized.

Except that with these people, it's been going on since the dawn of time.

About the elections, this quote fromAlexis de Tocqueville:
"It is, in fact, difficult to conceive how men who have entirely renounced the habit of directing themselves could succeed in choosing well those who should lead them; and we will not make believe that a liberal, energetic and wise government can ever come from the votes of a people of servants."
If we can hardly hope for elections, this should not lead to neglecting a means likely, possibly, to avoid the most harmful choice...
