The post-Coronavirus world

by Christophe » 21/03/20, 01:58

Subject that I did not think so early ... some have anticipated: https://www.atlantico.fr/decryptage/358 ... -alexandre

GENERAL BANKRUPTCY
Change model after Covid-19 ... or change those who have governed France for 30 years?

Faced with the Coronavirus health crisis and confinement, more and more French people seem to question the liberal system, the capitalist system of our democracy. Is the bankruptcy of the model the main reason for this distrust? Is the political class responsible?

until further notice, viruses have no political label. This is true democracy, everyone, without exceptions, can benefit from it! It's even free! 8)

I hope that nothing will change or in any case not profoundly (even if it is true that this would be the occasion) because I signed for a new car just before the start of confinement. If everything breaks my face I don't know how I'm going to do ...

After COVID19 there is CO2 and then the end of the world.

Before the end of the world .... I think that we will indeed change our model and that we will have an outbreak of nationalism in Europe (well, what will remain of it) ...

Excellent article, with interesting answers:

About our response to the epidemic
The 1957 flu killed two million according to the latest figures from the World Health Organization. France seems to have suffered tens of thousands of deaths but there has been no confinement or any measure of distancing. The economic consequences were almost nil: we continued to prepare the opening of the Common Market of Europe of 7 in 1958. The newspapers of the time did not speak much about this massacre. In some countries like Sweden, we see pictures of huge hangars where people were parked because the hospitals were so saturated.
Chinese researchers have sequenced the coronavirus genome seven days after the first cases: this is a huge feat.
Maybe even before seen the article by the AIMSIB : Twisted:

Contrary to what is often repeated
Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership of the means of production and the accumulation of capital. It's not neither an ideology nor a doctrine, unlike socialism for example. It is a business practice.

The current crisis is wrongly called the "crisis of capitalism" and / or attributable to liberalism: the contemporary era is neither liberal nor capitalist in the sense of "free market capitalism". The economy is not fixed and unchanging, the globalization of exchanges has created new rules, companies adapt or disappear. Only the state does not adapt. We are, in fact, facing a crisis of a model of state organization which fails to adapt to the evolution of the world. This crisis is that of state interventionism.
It is clear that typing in debt every time one category of the population shouts louder than another, cannot last indefinitely ....

I stop here

This is the worst thing to do, but indeed everyone preaches for his parish and wants his share of the cake, as if he
did not realize that it is reduced like skin of sorrow ... I understand myself :|

But of course... : Lol:

It is complete expediency to tie politics to the coronavirus. If something has to be changed, it is the health response to a new epidemic. The rest are political choices that do not depend on the Covid-19

It is however a fact with the choice of containment and the economy in rout. : Shock: I recognize you there with your little sentences to scratch. : Mrgreen:

Ahmed, it's a fact : Wink:
