bonsoir,
when the risk of making a big boom is more than present I do not like the idea either .... Since I do not master the subject at all, I really discover thanks to your subject, I will therefore follow your discussions now ...
and above all to "trust" you ...
By cons for your insulation (I master more;)), on something like this it is quite possible to make a system based imr well implemented, or PIR foam, see both to have something very effective for the wooden case, and for the water heater I think I would try to grab some two-component PU foam to inject yourself, or if the price is too expensive redo a case around the heater water ...

Hi tran,
I'm back after a few months of silence (a lot of work)
I made changes to my water heater.
Adding an external equalization regulator improves the performance and the pressures are more stable.
I'm going to put some pictures.
Some numbers:
I need 11kwh to heat my tank from 14 ° C to 60 ° C
Thanks to the phase change I only consume 7kwh, so I have an average cop of 1.55.
I am quite happy with the results.
I attach a capture of the Zelio program which manages the system in auto

Hi tran,
I come back to give you an update on my electric consumption.
In 5 months I consumed 440kw / h, while with an electric balloon my consumption was ~ 1000kw / h.
So I saved well ~ 50% of energy, I fall back on my feet knowing that I have an average COP of 1.5.
Normally I would have had to pay ~ 400 € / year of EDF with my electric balloon, there I would be at ~ 200 € / year.
I had for ~ 500 € of gear, so I have 3 years without breakdowns to amortize it.
When I think of those who buy a balloon at 4000 € the time it takes to make it profitable ...

Re: Self-build thermodynamic water heater
It's not self-construction (not at the level of the CAP at least) but it has been working well for 1 year: water-pumping-filtration / transforming-a-solar-DHW-tank-into-thermodynamic-water-heater-with-a-small-swimming-pool-t17035.html
