So, one of my kids who bought a house in the town center in April, told us this afternoon that there are a lot fewer flies this year.

We had left since Sunday afternoon, and returned yesterday around 18:00 p.m., not a single fly in the whole house.

Everything has been heavily aired, but this morning nothing in the house.

My wife added the same thing this morning in the living room just in case, but I think it was not useful, but as everything is open....

The kitchen and the living room are two rooms on the opposite side of the house, separated by a corridor almost 2m wide, diagonally from the house....

Kitchen, approximately 25m2, and living room 35m2. The dining room, we only use it when we really receive, 35m2, and a room on the ground floor also not redone of 25m2 ....

A priori, it works, but we are not invaded at home this year, nor even wasps, etc .... In front, it is a pasture on the other side of the street, a meadow on one side too , fields behind, a few houses on one side of the garden, rather countryside so ....

All I saw was a fly, 2-3 minutes, and that was it....

Ok thank you I just tested!

I didn't have fresh lemon, I managed with a lemon juice concentrate (no no, it's not old urine!!) where I put a few cloves...(enough ?)

I also put a rest of my Alsatian mulled wine spices on the side :) You never know ! : Lol:

To be continued !

Ok I see I'll tell you if it's better with lemon juice!

Otherwise another tip: get in the flow of a fan!

Yes, it's true, the fan, it disturbs the flies, but as soon as you stop, it's dead ....

Bof bof ... all the lemon juice evaporated with the heat wave : Mrgreen: and I forgot to buy fresh lemons! : Lol:

If that is it is the zest which makes them release?

If there are flies, there is life. Every time I find an animal carcass in the field, I bury it under 5 cm of soil, that means fewer flies. The closed composter, another pile of compost under tarpaulin.

During heat waves, they seek coolness, so avoid leaving doors and windows open during the day. I have a cool, open outdoor room, swarms of flies inside when it's hot.

In the evening before going to bed: turn off the interior lights, door and windows open, exterior lights on, they will move quickly outside, attracted by the light...
We sometimes do it to evacuate the flies from the room.
