Michael Collins, American astronaut of the Apollo 11 mission, dies

AFP • 28 / 04 / 2021

US astronaut Michael Collins, a member of Apollo 11, the first manned mission to the moon, died of cancer on Wednesday at the age of 90, his family said in a statement.

A command and service module pilot, he had remained in orbit while his mission mates Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the moon.

"My dear Mike, wherever you have gone or will be, you will always have the flame to carry us with skill to new heavens and the future. We will miss you. May you rest in peace", greeted his comrade Buzz Aldrin, last surviving member of Apollo 11.

Incredible human epic which sees a page turn ...
But on the other hand, a post from “Boursorama”... didn't this subject deserve better? And without expressing the slightest empathy!

so he will be able to visit the whole of the universe with his little wings. Why bother with these piles of junk when you just have to wait to break your pipe to be able to do it! :?

When one manifests such anti-pathy, one can hardly have feeling and even less arouse sympathy!

As for the saint-pathie ... it's out of reach. There is therefore no longer a-pathy (with the private “a”) well seen.

NASA will not finally return to the Moon in 2024, it is now official. We will have to wait until 2025 at the earliest, because of the delay in the development of space suits.

Americans return to the moon postponed to 2025 "at the earliest"

AFP • 09 / 11 / 2021

The return of humans to the Moon as part of the American Artemis program, including the first woman, has been delayed from 2024 to 2025 "at the earliest", NASA announced on Tuesday.

The date of 2024 had been set by Donald Trump's administration but was widely considered to be almost impossible to meet. This delay was therefore relatively expected, but this is the first time that NASA officially recognizes it.
