The tardigrade, extreme resistance and cryptobiosis

by Christophe » 06/03/13, 10:30

In 2006, I wrote: https://www.econologie.com/tardigrade-d ... ntifiques/

The tardigrade a small ubiquitous animal not exceeding 2 mm whose various studies have shown amazing results which allow us to grant to this day the title of the superchampion of animal resistance (T ° and extreme pressures ...).

We believe that this is a fine example of humility of Man in front of Nature and questioning of established scientific knowledge. But this animal also allows us to question in a more philosophical way the theories of evolution ...

A more precise photo has just been published:

The end of the "trunk" seems ... um ... plastic and very strangely symmetrical? : Cheesy: : Idea:

particularly interesting for the panspermia hypothesis ( http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panspermie ), but which refers further on to the very origin of life because, as the article says, tardigrade is already a very elaborate complex form of the living. In the same way, the discourse on evolution presupposes that animal and plant have a common origin (basically the monkey and the tree on which it is located are distant cousins), which this tardigrade does not allow to glimpse.

Certainly but it's not only that ...

Me what fascinates me the most is its ability to enter cryptobiosis !!

Absolutely !

It looks like a plastic piece and the symmetry is really disturbing!

However I do not think that this is a touch-up ... photo specialists could enlighten us (thin Obamot is on vacation ...)
