I don't know where your gable walls are, but in theory in ITE we manage to raise the insulation 1m behind them with respect to the facade side (even in the basement), to break their thermal bridge . Beyond one meter it is the blocks/cement/concrete walls which serve as insulation themselves (yes, yes, they are good thermal conductors, but insulate along the length...)

When we don't, we always have residual problems in critical cases.

Yes Oba, 4 cm of insulation = 1 m of concrete!

I thought about it, in the wine cellar, the worst is done on the wall on 35/40 cm and 80 cm on the ceiling where it condensed the most, you can see it in this photo:

For the other shear walls I will monitor the evolution...there I have nothing left by isolating...so the site is on technical unemployment!

It will be interesting to see if it condenses there precisely! This would make it possible to visualize the thermal bridge without an IR camera! 8)

Then I have to find a construction site for the summer of 2023!!

I saw.
40 cm should be enough when there is/if there is topsoil behind?

Yes the VS is entirely underground (at -4m on the wine cellar side...)
