hi, why isn't the straw bale?
natural, economical: € 1 per boot.
R from 6 to 8 depending on the layout.
you see christophe? they do it in compressed panels! it was time !
I'm sure the critters don't come! -)
the price of the panel? I want some !!!!!!!!
why don't they sell them on eco-logis?
ah we will still have to make all this yourself ...

The best of natural insulation
Indeed, I gave a figure for the polyurethane foam (0,025) taken on a Belgian site (http://www.bricozone.be/fr/isolation/t- ... -4172.html
Which gives a false value. The true value for PU foam seems to be 0,035 according to wikipedia. ((http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conductivi ... _thermique)
But I don't understand why, suddenly, Christophe classifies cellulose wadding as the best compromise since its conductivity is 0,040?
In addition, cellulose wadding burns much better than wool ...
(Commercial interests?)

santajo, if you want to agree to include straw in your survey, you can join the webmaster of this site who builds his house in straw bales, cedar wood structure, chestnut shingle roof and wood wool roof:

My subject compares synthetic and mineral insulation materials compared to natural materials from an ecological (by life cycle analysis) and economic point of view.
This subject should interest you then:
