I agree, mechanical breakages these days are rare.
My uncle mecano is really fucked up by the way.
He chose his job to do mechanics not electronics, and at present it is 90% of breakdowns.
Even the wearing parts become almost indestructible.
Everything else comes from the electronics and the manufacturer's precipitation to sell a vehicle before it is finished (running gear not adjusted, door incorrectly adjusted, tires ill-adapted, electronics not reliable ...)
TF1 20 hours: revolutionary economic candles
The MIracle Candle from TF1
this candle works and you will be able to realize it by reading the patent deposited and to understand its operation by consulting the small diagram of my Web page:

Hello,
I put some on my Chevrolet engine
I have bought candles that porcelain is no longer out, the electrode a little wider, I just pierced the central electrode
Not drilled on the sides, I find it hard to imagine with a large hole open in front that it will be pressured so that the gas flames come out through these holes? Although everything is possible What I can see inside the engine I can't comment on it. For the moment idling is improved, on consumption it has not increased, if it has decreased it is difficult to measure, but nothing but better idling justifies leaving these spark plugs on the engine, the next I will drill holes on the sides, a good try is preferable to a long discussion on theories.
the first ones I tested the holes were not in the angles like on your post higher ...

Yes, 45 degree holes on the edges give an explosion around the electrodes, a thrust of the gases which strike the top of the piston and then there can be jets of flame through these two holes which ignite faster the whole air / fuel mixture. You can also notice it by ear, because the engine then makes less noise and it runs better ;-)
Good luck
