I think that if you want to irrigate your greenhouse well, you need a catchment area larger than the roof of the greenhouse...because a greenhouse heats up...so it evaporates quickly...especially in summer during heat waves ...

If you have a larger surface nearby, make an assembly like mine... otherwise a surface can be made with tarpaulins and you can store a buffer in one or more 1000L cubicles...

Yes, I am currently studying several solutions to compensate for evaporation:
- 1000L tanks to fill with water during the winter with the roof of the greenhouse, but it will take a lot (4 or 5 I think if I leave with a maximum reserve of water in the ground at the beginning of summer), being in Normandy it is not the rains that are lacking in winter, on the other hand, it is difficult in summer where I am (a good little micro-climate),
- a small 40m3 pond for ducks and geese fed by the gutters of the house (100 m of discharge anyway), it would be triple useful (ducks/geese + watering + fertilization in the greenhouse)
- dance and sing to make the rain fall in the summer.

What you need is a "basin"; It's very trendy right now... : Shock: : Wink:
