Can you develop? For once I found the explanations of a TV set quite coherent and healthy...except on 3 points:

a) Does maize store carbon? By transforming it into methane in the ass of cattle, I would be very surprised... : Lol:

b) Only 10 / 65 = 15% yield with irrigation? In case of intense drought it would surprise me very much... : Shock:

c) French agriculture is the healthiest in the world? Oh good ? Hey, isn't there a recent affair with breakfast cereals heavily contaminated with pesticides or heavy metals (remind me of the details) in France? : Mrgreen:

In my opinion, these basins are anticipations of the extreme climatic phenomena that will happen... some already know more than us that we are not going to the good...

And concerning evaporation, we found solutions: science-and-technology / thermal-buffer-to-avoid-surface-evaporation-of-hot-water-with-oil-or-another-blocker-t16964.html

trace, what is the minor reason for prohibiting the creation of a body of water in a wetland?
1.2.1. Article 4 1 prohibits the construction of new bodies of water in wetlands unless conditions to be met are of major general interest or the benefit of the project is greater than the expected benefit from the preservation of the wetland.

What would be the minor interest then?
What is the reason for the minor ban?

It's written on page 9

Did you talk about it, it produces a high biomass, due to its excellent photosynthesis yield.

The canes and foliage are returned entirely to the ground for the grain maize... All the same remains the root system and part of the stem, as important as the foliage intended for silage. It is the roots that produce the most sustainable carbon in the soil, provided you do not plow
The organic maize crop in the DOK trial even showed carbon inputs via root exudates that were one-third higher than those of the conventional crop, with a 20% lower plant biomass.
https://www.admin.ch/gov/fr/accueil/doc ... 81886.html ...but lost in the plowing : Shock:
In my region with deep soils, I have never seen watering corn...

and lost even more by intensive conventional crops and therefore the overall balance remains in favor of organic, even according to the specifications imposed by the State, which is only a minimum for conversions to organic and where plowing is still tolerated not imposed.
