yes yes physics

but real physics is not bullshit.

This diagram is simplistic, but has the merit of being synthetic on the possibilities of geo-engineering.

Making radiative budgets requires very complex calculations due to the many feedbacks in the system, and also to the phenomena involved.

He comes from https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Les ... _328191001

Report quite disputed since for the action on the albedo https://reporterre.net/La-geo-ingenieri ... toppons-la

A counter report https://www.etcgroup.org/sites/www.etcg ... fra_v3.pdf

to know exactly the fraction absorbed or emitted and to calculate the exact value of the climatic sensitivity, yes, that requires very complex calculations, and even then, that is not even enough, since according to the IPCC we are still not able to determine it with better than a factor of 2 or 3 uncertainty.

But to understand that if we increase the albedo, it DECREASES the solar radiation reaching the ground, and therefore logically it also DECREASES the thermal infrared emitted (which is normal since at the end, the Earth re-emits the part of reflected solar radiation + thermal infrared and that the sum of the two must remain constant, so if one increases, the other decreases), no, there is no need for complicated calculations, it just needs understand basic physics. As to know that a monothermal device cannot produce current because it would violate the second principle, no need for complicated calculations, just to understand the basic physics.

But we must recognize that it is not given to everyone, obviously.

Normally, these are games of equations.
But not at the IPCC. They only have digital models. That's the problem when you don't have the science: you try to approximate anything anyhow, and of course you get it wrong every time in the predictions.

and in your opinion on what are the "numerical models" based?
