Re: Omicron variant is the end of the pandemic biologically speaking?
Thanks Izentrop!
Well, I'm not sure I remember!
But basically, on the basis of the same data set as that of the Twitt previously relayed by Christophe, we see that the unvaccinated today represent around 50% of deaths, whereas they are only around 10. % of the population concerned.
Nothing new for the rest ..... but business to follow with the "deployment" of Omicron, things can evolve. If it's the right way, which seems to be the case, everyone will rejoice.

In raw data, but what does the data relating to 1 or 10 million give?sicetaitsimple wrote: we can see that the non-vaccinated today represent around 50% of deaths, whereas they are only around 10% of the population concerned.
And then the deaths, for the moment are still all due to delta.
So wait & see

Yes, that's what I say with my " whereas they are only about 10% of the population concerned."
But obviously there are a lot of misunderstandings on this forum, for whom the notion of "relative to 1 million or 10 million" seems inaccessible...
So I try to adapt, hoping that a "tilt" occurs suddenly .... We can dream.

Use the FastStone Capture software, of which there are free versions (5.3 for example): You can select part of the screen by drawing a rectangle with the mouse!

This is exactly what there is natively in firefox but hey...
Besides, I don't understand that Chrome doesn't have this option natively...

The problem is there: If the 2 doses having exceeded 6-7 months are counted in the NOVAX, it is more than 10%
Also, why are deaths from something other than COVID still classified as "COVID" if they are not vaccinated?
In short, the truth will only be seen on excess mortality by age class in INSEE data, and not by COVID labels used for anything.

Do I have to answer a 5th time? Christophe will get irritated again... Read (completely) the DREES weekly studies...and in particular the "Appendix – Definitions and methods".

Re: Omicron variant is the end of the pandemic biologically speaking?
Haven't you understood yet that with Omicron, the number of cases doesn't care a bit?
That it is what will result in terms of hospi, critical care and death that will be important?
Edit: for understanding, Obamot's post above contained a graph with the number of cases by category (vaccinated, unvaccinated,...), graph which for some reason disappeared.
