That's what I thought : Cheesy:

The results are, to say the least, instructive (http://www.autoplus.fr). It is not the premium fuels, yet put forward by the tankers, who win the highest prices in terms of consumption and economy. Another lesson: no brand is consistent from one type of fuel to another.

(...)

For diesel, it is again the fuel Leclerc (1,25 € / l) which is placed on the top step of the podium with 9,20 € / 100 km. Interestingly, the four Premiums are the most expensive to buy (with the standard of Total) and use. The Super Diesel (1,38 € / l) Casino at 14e and last place with 10,50 € for 100 km.

Conclusion of our colleagues, which we share: "The best economizer? It's you ! "

Mouahaha!

Good more consumption for Premiums may not mean more clogging ... or not! : Cheesy:

There they speak in Euro / 100km, not in liters to hundred ...

Yes, absolutely ... I always ask to see the reports of the long-term tests announced by Total ... it is TOTALLY not acceptable to announce this kind of tests without proving it by a public publication (at least with a technical report summary of some pages) ...

So here I am, I have finished filling up with the 1st Facom product (the large 5 in 1 bottle Turbo Diesel Cleaner): indeed the cold idle seems more stable the first seconds, it bumps a little less ... but nothing miraculous and it's very subjective, when I put 10% gasoline it's the same.

No difference in consumption.

I found another additive can be more suitable with a common rail ... the manual is still evasive ... except that they talk about all 5000 km ... and preventatively (the cleaner injector c ' was healing and all 20 000 km ... before the move to CT! : Cheesy: : Cheesy: So I imagine that the other is more "concentrated")

So I use which in 1er? : Cheesy:

Otherwise here is the range facom (quite complete) that can be found in a Leclerc department (click to enlarge):

I had bought molybdenum disulfide powder that I had added to the engine oil my Xantia HDI (which made 300 000 km before exploding on a boar ...), the engine was quieter, responded better and the conso had dropped about 0.5L. We can also put in an 2T and in a gearbox.

a) Yesterday, I put the product facom HDI in a complete full with a non premium but branded diesel fuel.

The previous full was premium Leclerc and I consumed more than usual ... (but I typed more in also to follow the recommendations of the product: acceleration + frank).

b) A few days ago, I think (with 90% certainty) that I had a regeneration of the FAP:

- this can also explain why I consume more
- I noticed it because on a 30 km (hot engine before) highway route because I lost about 200 km of autonomy according to the on-board computer, so I even thought about a leak of fuel (!) ... during a regen the instantaneous consumption grime in arrow and on my car the on-board computer does not take it into account ...
- Is this regen linked to the detachment of particles in the engine, maybe ...?
- the last regen (and the 1ere I believe since March 2017 that I have this car) dated from January 2019 .... so there is about 15 000 km ...

It's a shame that the computer does not indicate anything and has no history of regen ...

History visible at least because a history there is one on the defects: the OBD indicates the partial regen (aborted) by a dedicated error code PXXXX. For complete regen cons I have never seen anything ... so I guess there is not!

c) So there was a bit of 1er additive (there was 5L fuel) ... and think about it is a bit of homeopathy and high dilutions since you never empty a tank completely : so there will always remain traces (gum) of all the additives that are put in a tank over the life of the car!

My only tests are the addition of 25% vegetable oil on 306D (non turbo, non HDI), on 3 full:
More torque at low revs, slight improvement in acceleration, ...

But the effect wears off after a few months ...

No miracle.

BE CAREFUL, vegetable oil thickens below 5 ° C. Do not do this in winter (except adding a fuel heater upstream)!

I just used the Facom injector cleaner (not HDi) presented above, a priori I gain 15% autonomy (with the product in the tank ... for more to see ...): opinion-what-to-choose / opinion-on-the-diesel-injector-cleaner-facom-on-saab-9-3-tid-de-2005-t16928.html
