thermogenerators

by asshole » 22/02/07, 13:51

Hello everybody

I am in my first year of engineering school in Lille, and for a project I am seriously considering using a thermogenerator in order to use the flame heat to supply electricity to a small engine and also a programmer (not too much complicated).
only here, I have no idea the cost of such a device, and I find that the canvas is quite poor on this subject, so if someone would be extremely kind to inform me it would be very nice.

Thank you

:?: What do you mean by thermogenerator?

To recover the heat from the flames, there are Pelletier-type elements, which convert thermal PDD into electricity, otherwise I only see mechanical systems ...
- stirling or ericson engine
- wind turbine / thermal well, principle of the Nazarre and Michaud towers
- miniaturized steam turbine as in thermal power plants ...

There have already been posts about the Pelletier elements.

It seems to remind me that the yield is very low, around 5% :|
