Question to andré

Bonjour Christophe

Hello André

Bonjour à tous

Why André ... it's simple
From what I have read here and there ... a lot there, on econology ... an increasingly obvious term ... econology ... it's you Christophe
if yes Hat ... otherwise hat !!!!

Sorry ... I'm getting lost

André, it seems to me that you like big nags, I came across it by chance!

In 1993 in search of a renault space I found only wrecks at crazy prices and there a V6 ... KRA IS LER in addition ... soon a Museum piece if Daimler fout nettles ... BRIEF ...

A Chrysler V6 3 liter petrol injection ... automatic gearbox

Nothing to fall on your knees ... Wait, let me get up

Currently 150 Kms ... Squeaks a bit in the corners, but little more than me.

I'm coming

This morning, in a good mood, even if it is raining, I equip myself with a 5 liter can of water, a 2 ml hose of about 3 to 4 mm in diameter and transparent.

I open the hood ... YES

And I connect the pipe to the intake manifold of the V6, to the "assisted" braking depression socket
With the engine running, I immerse the hose in the water container ...

And there in less than 30 s, the V6 sucks a good glass of water without flinching.

I did not dare to operate the throttle valve, for fear of possible damage ...

The engine has absolutely not flinched, apart from the white steam coming out of the pot ...

And this is André where I need your experience ...

According to you what are the risks of massively sending water into an engine

Is there a problem for the catalytic converter

Subsidiary question ... if you don't mind

Why a fuel-poor mixture can be dangerous for an engine ... Hep, we don't laugh.

In any case, Thank you for your attention

Good night

Hello,
You should know that the GM V6, Chrysler, the vacuum hose communicates only with a group of 3 cylinders
that at idle the depression is enormous, that the engine is able to swallow a lot of water the limit is misfires.
water sent like this directly into the engine does nothing but cleaning it does not improve consumption.
The entry door into V6 is the hole in the ERG valve which is right next to it.
It is not recommended to wash the engine with liquid water
when the speed will increase it will draw less water, the depression decreases, but these engines like mine 3,8 liters
it rolls at 100kmh at 1800 rpm and the depression is at half atmospheric pressure. (0,5 bar)
In the 60s, what some people did with infusion sets, he allowed the engine to drip water away.
by a vacuum pipe which of course communicates in the 6 cylinders, but it is difficult to adjust it takes very little water.
it would be better to spray it before entering the engine.

For the big engines it is not that I like that it is because I do not have any other on hand .. (It would be necessary that I rejuvenate my vehicles and for the experiments I think that the old ones are pretend better)

Andre

Hello

Thank you André for your explanations, especially regarding the ERG plug
which I plan to use for other tests.

A+
