It's between yellow carrot and fast-growing kohlrabi. Character not too marked. Panais and rutabaga look like it from a distance.
It is anything but tasteless.
And it also depends and can be especially on the recipe used and the qualities of the cook. :D
this vegetable can be stored for a long time, both harvested at the beginning of winter and left in the ground under a protective plant cover.
Big advantage: the large ball is above ground and therefore not accessible to voles.

An Italian chicoree with a two-tone heart that has valiantly withstood extreme cold and especially voles, resulting from sowing at the end of July.
It continued to grow during the winter in the middle of castings.

Apples picked in mid-September, stored under cover outside and which are still great in a knife or pie after 7 months of conservation.

Hello,
To have such beautiful root vegetables, you practice how your amendments. They have substantial phosphorus, potassium and boron needs for example :?:

For a long time my ground has been covered with all kinds of plant coverings which follow one another all year round.
But I also water with lots of decoctions that I make regularly as well as with organic waste like organic chicken and horse manure that I dilute in water. For the decoctions I use plants that grow at home: lemon balm, mint, borage, comfrey, tansy, and which I accompany from time to time with limestone.

These varieties of winter squash are easy to grow and keep very well, for middle butternuts at least 1 year.
As they are runners, especially butternuts, it is necessary to plan a little a lot of place even if they are driven on supports.
Very good orange flesh.

After 5 months of waiting, the harvest of Val d'Orge lettuce has started. This board should have between 150 and 200 plants, enough to last until the first seedlings of this year are replaced.
