This drawing calls for two comments from me:
- on the one hand, the social relationship that we call "wealth" can only function in today's society effectively only through an inequality of fortune (defined according to the internal criterion specific to this social synthesis), since two sources are needed different "temperatures" so that dynamic functioning is established (money = energy); in this sense we are in the presence of a ditherme engine, in accordance with the second law of thermodynamics. This is a factual observation from which I derive no justification from said system.
- On the other hand, the perception of things illustrated by this drawing is partly obsolete, insofar as the poor who, because of their situation would have to mobilize their labor force to create abstract value are less and less necessary, automation having replaced them quite heavily. However, machines, even "high tech" do not produce more value than the work they incorporate and therefore involve the massive use of an artifice, which is the massive injection of mass of money supposed to be able to be created in an imaginary future. This therefore implies that those left behind in our society no longer even have the hope of being working poor and that employment, even in the form of "bullshit jobs", turns into a sort of paradoxical privilege. It is this phenomenon which explains the success of the universal income, supposed to evade the problem, and this even among officials normally reluctant to nurture sympathy for social ideas.
