Cleanup cold plasma: CNRS innovation and patent PSA

by Christophe » 09/06/06, 11:34

Plasma depollution: would it be a solution for the future? (inspired by La Recherche, February 1999)

Gaseous emissions from diesel engines are more and more severely limited by European standards. To achieve compliance, new technologies are developed.

For trucks, there are very efficient catalysts, such as those where ammonia, coming from hydrolyzed urea, plays the role of reducing agent. However, they must operate at high temperatures, generally above 200 ° C. However, these temperatures are not reached by the exhaust gases from passenger cars at start-up or during urban journeys.

Plasma that would depollute ... it's funny but it reminds me of a certain reactor ...
What an innovation!

For the reactor ... nobody has managed to prove that there was real plasma yet.

On the other hand, it is clear that one can ask the question of the interest of treating the exhaust gases by plasma when one could treat the intake gases by the same method so as not to create pollution precisely. ..

It's not Bob_isat and the CNRS of Orléans who will contradict me! :)

very nice section!

To avoid overwhelming visitors to the patent section, I suggest that we add a small summary with the patent (technical problem, solution, advantages, disadvantages, key points)

I will put online all the patents that I have fished as soon as I am unemployed, that is to say in not a long time ...

oops, I did not post in the right place, if you can move me in the post 'survey for a patent section' ...

Glad you like it (but now you'll have to fill out these sections! :) )

For your idea, well this is a bit what I started with the patent section of the site: https://www.econologie.com/brevets-invention-ecologie/

Example with a Renault patent: https://www.econologie.com/telechargeme ... ction-eau/

But it's damn hard for a patent ...

I had the opportunity to work on this machine and I wonder if this principle could be used in the reprocessing of pollutants from vehicles:

Hello, everyone I am a student at polytech'orléans, I am currently reporting on pollution control using plasma technologies. I would like to know which unit of the cnrs of Orléans works on the treatment of intake gases?

Does anyone know if certain cars or other vehicles marketed currently use, gas treatment by plasmas.

Thank you in advance

Bonjour.
Student at Polytech'Orléans, but not "like Inspector Colombo" ...
: Cheesy:
Just go ask, right next to the building Polytech, to the building called GREMI...
