Duval thema c23E saunier sanitary failure

And if they were repairing rather than throwing and change? Rediscover the pleasure of the repairs yourself. How to diagnose a problem or find spare parts? Repair itself is way to save money generally!

Duval thema c23E saunier sanitary failure

by danpel » 21/07/20, 10:08

Hello,

my boiler no longer produces hot water although the heating side is working fine.
I replaced the water valve and the reversing valve but nothing helps, when the water is drawn the boiler does not trigger, if I manually use the microswitch it works.
Do you have an idea ?

Thank you

Daniel

From what you explain the boiler does not detect the flow of sanitary water .... so it's definitely a problem with the flowmeter.

I don't know how exactly the DHW flow rate is detected on gas boilers, but there is necessarily a sensor.

Maybe a differential pressure sensor?

Here is a Saunier Duval flow sensor: https://www.piecesxpress.com/article-11 ... -duval.htm

Is that what you call water valve? If yes look at the multimeter if it works and if so look where it is connected (a relay maybe?)

Hello, I don't see any part listed as a sensor on the boiler part plans and no part that looks like the one you present?
For the water valve, you can see it on the following link

Well there is necessarily a DHW flow detector ... do you have the instructions in .pdf? If so put it here as an attachment that we have a look at ...

I do not see a 3-way valve on the assembly drawing and neither at the supplier for this model of boiler

Indeed, maybe see P1, sanitary thermostat, can it bypass, to see what happens? (penultimate page of the pdf)

Ah yes I do believe that it is the water valve which fulfills this role: a membrane detects the pressure difference and regulates the gas flow.

Are you sure the valve that was changed is working?

If not yes also checks the DHW thermostat?
