What will people save money (and nrj euro) realized?

Suppose that, in the coming years, we realize significant energy savings. For most people (especially the poorest families), saving money means having more money at the end of the month.

So I ask the question "What will people do with the savings?"

If they take the opportunity to consume more non-green products, what will be the ecological gain? We have just deported part of the economy of energy consumption (housing, transportation) to another.

Hello

the poor will fatten a little more French games.

the rich will speculate a little more, making the rents flare up for the poor.

in our rich countries the wages are calculated just right so that people do not revolt, so if the workers get heated for free the wages will go down.

Just the friend!

I do not think that wages will go down, but some commodities will see their price rise as if by magic with the pretext that goes well ...

Suppose that in the coming years, the energy will be much more expensive ...
Suppose that in the coming years, to move individually by car will be a luxury ...
Suppose that in the years to come, homes will cost a little more expensive to manufacture, a guarantee of their "passive house" energy efficiency ...

We can then assume that leisure will be less consumer, material and energy, than now ...
If they still consume as much time, that's fine as well.

It is simple, it will repay the loans they will have contracted to finance the investments needed for additional costs. (and they will spend their money on computers, multimedia, ADSL subscriptions, GSM, satellite TV, etc ...)

Let's not forget that the total amount:

housing finance
heating
car finance of the same class
fuel

has grown significantly faster than the cost of living from 1986 to 2006

and as our friend Bucheron so aptly puts it, he will use it to pay for oil, metals and plastics, sophisticated vehicles that will be more expensive in a few years .... :D
