The Coronavirus: a reverse stress test for the environment and global warming?

by Christophe » 01/04/20, 21:44

We know that the Coronavirus crisis has already greatly limited local pollution ...but what about its impact on climate change?

I remind you that before the corona crisis, STRICTLY NOTHING worked to limit global warming ... and especially not the puppet Greta Thunberg!

So I see 2 versions (please complete) ... and sorry, we're not going to beat around the bush !! We're not on TV!

a) The "grand plot" version!

The Covid is a "joke": a GMO virus that is not very lethal except in the fragile but highly contagious to panic as many people as possible! In short, everything is organized and under control (despite appearances): we do that to test the planet and see how it behaves!

It reminds me of the political justification for the latest Chirac nuclear tests, which provided access to nuclear computer simulations ...

At least that's what we were "sold" in the French media at the time!

Plausible ... but highly speculative! Obviously like all conspiracy theories ...

But after all the covid kills far fewer people than the "chronic" diseases of humanity ... starting with malnutrition ... So in the end humanity will do very well!

b) The version of Nature's vengeance against her oppressor (us)

Ok this is not a plot and nature (or rather genetic chance), because of bastards of under-cooked pangolin eaters (the Covid19 is screwed up at 70 ° C), try to get high and get rid of it to save all other living things?

Humanity that has made him suffer so much for 200 years (and much more?)? A naturally divine punishment in short! The goal: the fair return of balance in biodiversity?

Well, it's missed: our mortality is not yet significant enough (but beware of a possible mutation) ... : Cheesy:

Good but ok! But it's still us the dominant species, we're not going to be pissed off by a smaller one than we are !! : Mrgreen:

Take advantage of this to ... launch climate simulations as recommended in point a)! Because the Earth ship is the only one we have guys !!

In short, all this to say that I would be curious to see the most precise climate indicators and simulations that we can obtain taking into account the brutal slowdown in planetary human activity during its last 3 months ... and the following! !

A pound less today can change a lot tomorrow!

The reality of things is certainly between a) and b) ...

To conclude, I initial Coluche: "The politicians only pretend to be stupid" *

* good sorry except Sibeth but she necessarily heard that during her whole life, suddenly you have to re-read Pavlov and the theory of self conditioning !! (mouaaaaah that i am bad !!!!)

No, we drank an (organic) wine from the Lycée Viticole d'Orange. They make wines with unbeatable value for money.
