More than 20 degrees in Antarctica ... but let's not change anything!

There was still an almost precedent in 1982:

Climate: at the South Pole it's over 20 ° C, a first!

Mercury has, for the first time in history, exceeded 20 ° at the South Pole, reports the British newspaper The Guardian. On Sunday, the Brazilian scientists' thermometers on Seymour Island posted 20,75 °, almost a degree higher than the last record set at this location in 1982 of 19,8 °.

uh no, at the South pole, it's - 25 ° C right now: https://www.accuweather.com/fr/aq/amund ... st/2258520

Seymour Island is more than 2000 km from the South Pole, roughly the distance that separates us from Bergen in Norway.

The strong temperature anomaly goes to the South Pole:

It is many ° C not F.

on Futurasciences, a weather specialist (though rather climatomaniac!) strongly doubts the record, which apparently has not been measured by an approved station

https://forums.futura-sciences.com/comm ... amais.html

If the WMO begins to report all the measurements that anyone makes on their balcony, the records have not stopped falling ...

ABC, your little game of the little beast we know it now ... Stop quibbling, the important thing is not the feat but ...
the region has warmed by 3 ° C since the start of the industrial era. Consequence: heat waves and other extreme weather phenomena can therefore reach records. In Antarctica as elsewhere. https://www.huffingtonpost.fr/entry/la- ... eafe1fb599

I react to the news of the so-called "record", which is the subject of the thread, it's you talking about something else I tell you!

now on the warming "since the beginning of the industrial era", I would like to know what measures were available in the region at the beginning of the industrial era ... : Idea:

The idea is to demonstrate that GHGs are not greenhouse gases? : Mrgreen:

I don't see the connection with temperature measurements in Antarctica before the industrial age. The goal is rather to try to stop saying and writing anything, as soon as we start talking about RC.
