Why some associations do better in self-construction than protopipos of automakers?

Yes ! Good remark !

We have to do it ourselves.

This is the only solution to demonstrate the current "foutage" of the builders' face.

Bike, trike, hybrid cars and full electric "home made" are more convincing than any theory.
In addition, the strength of your experience gives credibility to your social and political action since you have demonstrated by tangible facts your competence in the field.

The Wingover trimaran project is based on this logic of "doing" to demonstrate utility.

Finally, as cousin DéDé always tells me:
"A walking jerk will always go further than a sitting nerd!"

Another method that takes into account gray CO2: https://www.econologie.com/voiture-elect ... -4358.html

We don't come to the same conclusion ...

this calculation is very optimistic and ignores many points:
1 ° a consumption of 15 kw.h at the wheels implies a greater demand to the energy producer due to the line losses 8%, the transformer / rectifier to produce direct current 10%, the electronics and the motor 10 %, of the battery charge efficiency 9% in total we have only 63% of the initial energy so 15kw.h at the wheels actually require 23,8 kW.h
2 ° the energy mix in France is around 90g CO2 / kw.h and not 56 as indicated, it is higher in winter if we import current from the EU where the average is 460g CO2 /kw.h
3 ° the energy cost of the construction and recycling of LI-Ion batteries is not taken into account: around 40g CO2 / kwh but I grant you that this figure is not known with precision let's forget the pros Nothing
4 ° in winter the lighting and heating (free for a heat engine) and in summer the air conditioning consume energy and significantly increase energy consumption
Your figure of 16kw.h / 100km is therefore strongly underestimated, it would rather be around 25kw.h / 100km which would then correspond, without heating or air conditioning, to a CO2 equivalent of 25. 90/100 = 22,5 g CO2 / km
5 ° finally in 2020 the consumption of diesel vehicles will be 95g CO2 / km plus the 15% that you mention from the ground to the socket is almost 110 g CO2 / km
the balance sheet is still favorable in France in favor of electric vehicles only thanks to nuclear power which produces 77% of electric energy
If you run this vehicle by supplying its battery with carbon-based electricity as in Germany for example, it is 150g CO2 / km or more than a current diesel vehicle.
That said, I am for the electric car, in town for journeys less than 50km and if there are no ratings and without heating.

metomol45, I gladly grant you the 8% loss online, but on the rest you get lost ...
Over 100.000km of uninterrupted measurements from plug to wheel , I measured the consumption of 4 vehicles over a period of 8 years ...

This concerned:
- 2 Peugeot 106 equipped with nickel cadmium battery which consume 18 to 22 Kwh per 100km.
- 1 of the Peugeot was fitted with a lithium battery (LiFePo4), the one that consumed 22kWh / 100km and saw its consumption drop below 16kWh / 100km.
- 1 Volkwagen e-Up (lithium) which consumes less than 14kWh / 100km weighted over the year (12kWh / 100km in spring and
in autumn). This car bought new has 25.000km today.

I know other users of electric vehicles who, like me, measure their consumption (in order to know the price of their car and plan their electricity budget). Zoé and even the powerful Tesla of 2200kg do not reach the consumption that you advertise in current use ... :?

Metomol talks about 15 kWh / 100 km at the wheels, which seems reasonable to me.

After the well-to-wheel debates are endless, and in fact over the entire life cycle of a car, the CO2 emissions are almost the same for a steamer and an electric ...

Like that everyone agrees: no jealous among polluters. : Mrgreen:

If you drive an EV, you know that the headlights have very little impact on consumption.

it reminds me of a salesman who didn't "want" to sell me a VE, and told me that on an ion, C0, there was no clock, to save juice.

Indeed, it can play on 1 mm over 100 km!

The heating yes, consumes a little, a lot on the old EVs, but not huge on the most recent ones. As there is not much energy loss, very very little heat to be injected into the system.

At the end of October, I made a course in EV of more than 700 km without pb.

And I charge every day on a vulgar 220V socket in the yard ....

The speed being more and more limited (30km/h in town sometimes, 80km/h on departmental roads), it goes in favor of EVs which are more efficient on consumption at low speed than thermal cars...
