Besides, I have good news for you. The world's first reversible liquid nitrogen machine will go on sale, I can't wait to give you more information.

do you have a welding problem, barda, on your demonstrator? come back when it's welded. :D

In addition, with the same amount of heat in delta, more energy is recovered from cold than from hot. with 1 kg of liquid nitrogen we can in theory recover 240WH of electrical energy

I have a little trouble with that ... the energy goes from hot to cold not the reverse, right? how do you get energy from the cold?

yves

the principle is to use mechanical energy to refrigerate until liquefaction.

The reverse process (taking up heat from the cryogenic liquid) releases gas volumes 1000 times larger than the liquid (approximately), and these gases can be expanded in turbines or pneumatic motors.

Certainly, but with what overall storage yield? Or rather what losses? And what installation cost?

Eric talks about theory ... so according to what equations?

We saw above thatin theory, you can make a perpetual movement with compressed air ... : Cheesy:

And 0.24 kWh is a rather low energy value ...

The compression of a gas produces heat. If it is not stored and reinject to decompression, the yield will be less than 50%

I still have the impression that the flywheels, which have never really emerged except in the field of UPS (small power, short duration, but instantaneous reaction time), are really disappearing in favor batteries.

lithium batteries actually hurt them very much ...

afterwards they can still have their technological niches where they are better,

the report forgot to say that on board vehicles, these steering wheels are very heavy and bulky, and above all, destabilize the vehicle when cornering (gyroscopic torque). Or you need 2 flywheels that turn in opposite directions at the same speed ... In short, a whole program ... : roll:
