I have a 106 96 phase2 injection but I read that you can put the carbide phase 1.
would this change allow to roll with ethanol?

You can always try ..... but when it will be necessary to pass the technical control, I wish you a lot of pleasure, there is the chances that it is not on the same standard Euro ...... direct registration .

Re: 100% SuperEthanol E85 in 205 carburetor
it's a shame to put a carburetor when you have an injection!
I think we can hack something to roll it into ethanol without drastically changing the fuel supply.

Well, it's by going through this subject that talks about modifying the needles and needle of the carb, I wonder how to adapt it to the injection

It may be enough to change the injectors ...olivcody wrote:Well, it's by going through this subject that talks about modifying the needles and needle of the carb, I wonder how to adapt it to the injection
Sometimes it's not even necessary (it depends on the size of the original installed injectors).
With an electronic injection with lambda probe (obligatory in case of catalytic converter), the principle is simple:
1) The amount of oxygen ingested by the engine does not change,
2) You need to inject about 30% more E85 (compared to pure gasoline) to burn all available oxygen,
3) The injection computer checks (via the engine output probe) that the combustion is complete, and adjusts the injection times accordingly.
From there, if the engine used with pure gasoline uses the injectors less than 70% of the available injection time, there is nothing to modify, the computer will increase the injection times to inject 30% of more fuel volume.
If, on the other hand, the injector flow is too limited and they are already used at 100% (or more than 70%) for gasoline, they must be replaced.

Re: 100% SuperEthanol E85 in 205 carburetor
Hello everybody,
I bounced to share what were the last DIY in E85 on this R19.
The full of E85 had ended up being right of some joints in the carburettor (pump of recovery). Seals in stocks had solved the problem in 5 mn. I had suspected the original clutch but in fact these holes were caused by the leaking seal. FYI the original seals had lasted almost 30 years, the original clutch too. The spare seal pouch clearly showed lower quality but just enough to put the vehicle back in order for gasoline.
Here is the topic that helped me externally: http://forum-auto.caradisiac.com/pole-t ... 502911.htm
“Thank you for this topic which was very useful to me, I was able to repair my R19 (17 years old) which had difficulty restarting after a prolonged shutdown of more than a few hours. You had to run the starter for a long time to run the fuel pump and replenish the fuel with gasoline.
In reality the tank of the carbu leaked by the pump of recovery and the enriching visible in photo http://aws-cf.caradisiac.com/p [...] to1202.jpg
The leak was not visible to the naked eye.
It is possible that the membrannes were damaged by 2 full of E85 2008 summer, experimentation with little encouraging results.
The B2H seal kit is available directly at the store counter between Corbeil Essonnes and Coudray Monceau (12 motorway exit A6 from Paris) and costs 31 / 8 / 2009 57,80 euros.
Remember to tighten the screws, it vibrates a lot on it, I'm not a nag of tightening, but after a first check, I almost had nasty surprises with my "light" tightening.
The rest of the stater cable, requires a small adjustment so that the indicator goes out, stater pushed back.
For the intervention it is necessary:
pipe wrench 13 (crossbar)
pipe wrench 10 (air box)
torx key 30 (carbide top)
15 torx key (check this is for the bottom)
Pozidriv PZ2 screwdriver
flat blade screwdriver of different sizes
cloths, window scraper (joint plans)
quality serflex collars of small diameters to replace those of single use factory (gasoline hoses).
For information, it is possible to see the fuel in function, the float and the level of the tank on the sides of the passage of the 2nd body with a flashlight. You can even press the float with a screwdriver (without gravity, the E6J does not hold a grudge but "gets stuck" fairly quickly with a good kick of the starter) and also observe the operation of the overflow (flow in front of the front left wheel)
Intuitively, I think I would have had a lot more for a meccano. "
A great car that could easily be maintained. I donated it and nobody cared, pathetic enough.
Good luck to all !

Re: 100% SuperEthanol E85 in 205 carburetor
Hello,
I'm storing this topic need your help.
I do not really understand the value of running on bioethanol if the consumption is greater than with SP98.
Unless I do not understand? Tell me if with SP98 7L is used in 100 kms and with 8L bioethanol 100 kms is that with bioethanol is spent more fuel?
I have a 205 XS 1.4l TU 97 or 98 in case it is more advantageous to ride bio what changes should I make?
cordially

Re: 100% SuperEthanol E85 in 205 carburetor
it's not the amount of fuel consumed that counts, it's what you pay for a given trip.
Rolling with 85 ethanol is about 2 cheaper for the same trip service.

Re: 100% SuperEthanol E85 in 205 carburetor
Of course, the interest of E85 is its cost per liter. At Total Access St-Nazaire it is at 0,619 € per liter while the SP98 is at 1,458 €:
SP98 and 7l cost 100 km: 1,458 x 7 = 11,66 €
E85 and 8l cost to 100 km: 0,619 x 8 = 4,95 €
Last summer, the E85 was at 0,39 € the liter in this station. Cost to 100km for 8l / 100 = 3,12 €
SP98 and 7l cost 100 km: 1,458 x 7 = 11,66 €
E85 and 8l cost to 100 km: 0,619 x 8 = 4,95 €

Re: 100% SuperEthanol E85 in 205 carburetor
Hello
Thank you for answering. indeed I had not reflected so seen as it effectively it's very interesting to save money especially when you're broke like me.
however if you can answer my other question, can I put the E85 directly in my Peugeot 205 XS petrol (year 87 / 88) that risk nothing or does it spoil the engine? If modification to be done beforehand what should I do?
Kind regards.
