Thermodynamics, Globalization & Sovereignty.

Thermodynamics, Globalization & Sovereignty: Which Europe for which ecological and economic transition in a France and a world in systemic crisis?

The Dynamose association of the Specialized OSE Master of MINES ParisTech invited you to its annual event on the following subject:

“Thermodynamics, Globalization & Sovereignty: Which Europe for which ecological and economic transition in a France and a world in systemic crisis? "

http://dynamose.org/2018/02/09/thermodynamique-mondialisation-souverainete-quelle-europe-pour-quelle-transition-ecologique-et-economique-dans-une-france-et-un-monde-en-crise-systemique/

The evening was introduced and animated by Monsieur Sylvestre HUET, science journalist, specialist in energy and climate issues, blogger on the World platform.

At first, intervened:

Mr. François RODDIER, Physicist, Specialist in the thermodynamics of evolution, Momentum Institute
Mr. Jacques Sapir, Economist, Specialist monetary policies, sovereignty and globalization, Director of the Center for Studies of Modes of Industrialization (CEMI) of the School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS), lecturer at the School of Moscow Economy, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Then two specialists in the ecological and socioeconomic transition gave us their keys to understanding, analysis and conclusions:

Mrs. Geneviève FERONE-CREUZET, PhD in International Law, Pioneer of the social and environmental rating of companies, Founder and President of CASABEE consulting firm, co-Founding partner of the consulting firm PROPHIL and Vice-President of the FNH and the Shift Project
Mr. Jean-Marc JANCOVICI, Engineer, Energy and climate system specialist, Historical principal developer of Bilan Carbone® for ADEME, Member of the scientific council of the Observation and Statistics Service (SOeS) of the General Commission for Sustainable Development (CGDD), Independent columnist aux Echos, Teacher at MINES ParisTech, Partner of the consultancy firm Carbone 4, Founder & Chairman of the Shift Project.

It is unfortunate that this promising subject and staging speakers of high quality is not better organized in terms of interconnection between topics, you can shoot the first minutes that have little to do with the subject.
Intervention of François RODDIER from 12'25, Jacques SAPIR to 44'15, Geneviève FERONE-CREUZET 1'16, Jean-Marc JANCOVICI to 1'34.

For the moment, I listened carefully François Roddier. His conclusion on the desire for two currencies according to whether it pays for a commodity (hot spring) or a service (cold source) does not seem to me so relevant. Indeed, what characterizes our modern economic concept is precisely total indifference to the content of the exchange, provided it takes place.
For me, it is clear that any sum has a different power depending on the quantity * to which it refers, which implies that the flow of money depends on the potential difference between the different economic agents.

* Strong, it will be called "hot", weak, it will be called "cold".

The two speakers who followed Roddier have proved unconvincing, perhaps for lack of sufficient developments? The last, Jancovici, seemed to me more percussive and more in the subject.
The title also offers a strange combination: if the link between thermodynamics and globalization is obvious, on the other hand, sovereignty constitutes "the intruder", since the determinisms at work oppose any real sovereignty head-on.
