I am a journalist for We Demain magazine and I am interested in forgotten pioneering experiences in energy transition. This can range from the work of Augustin Mouchot on solar energy in the 19th century to that of Jean Laigret on oil and biomass gas in 20è.
I am not against chemist!
Work group. Project: Oil Dr Jean Laigret

Ok, had to start with that you are on a good site for that because we have been digging a lot on old good "forgotten" ideas!
So for your initial question, as far as I can remember (yes, it's a heck that we've looked at the question ...) the process developed by Laigret allows you to convert bodily fat oil very quickly and very efficiently (oil of good quality), the main concern (and the limit that we had encountered at the time that made us stopped) is that the use of Perfringens requires a very laboratory secure (4 class if I remember correctly)
Here is an interesting page: https://www.econologie.com/le-bacille-pe ... -3938.html
It refers to another subject on Laigret: https://www.econologie.com/forums/du-petrole ... t5802.html
Like, as a bonus, another "forgotten" technology: the diesel / steam hybrid engine of the 1920s: https://www.econologie.com/locomotive-hy ... s-520.html
And I'm not talking about the injection of water into the engines? Go if you are here: https://www.econologie.com/forums/article-do ... t9279.html
ps: uh your site http://www.wedemain.fr/ is HS there? Can we do a link exchange / facebook?

A ghost
Hello everybody
I wish you all a Happy New Year 2011 - 2012 - 2013 - 2014 - 2015. Well, I do not know when I made my last POST but it goes back to a lease
I hope that the entire tribe econology is fine, for my part, I returned to France in recent months, since I will not leave immediately to settle in an exotic country and well I dust my old projects.
Of course Laigret is one of them and as we "started" the adventure together, I will come back to you.
I will not go back to the different difficulties that we met to launch the project, which is why I propose to restart our research with a new approach.
I have the idea of looking for a doctoral school and a PhD student to confirm the research of Professor Laigret and therefore to understand all the ins and outs of this fermentation. It will also be to see how an industrialization is possible (I have a little my idea on it but good). If all goes well, we can of course embark on a trial phase and industrialization scale 1.
A good doctorate is 3 years so it is a commitment on ... 3 years is asked.
