Exhaust fan on OKOFEN

by manet42 » 23/01/15, 14:30

Hello,
The thread "operation monitoring ..." already having 159 pages, I open a new subject ... to follow better.

Following a fan became noisy, I just realized that the exhaust fan runs at 100% on ignition and the shutdown period, normal ...

BUT during the modulation period whatever its stage (between 17 and 0) it is subjected to cycles of 10 min to 30%, followed by 45 s to 100%. This is whatever the temperature of the fumes .... (from 180 ° to 151 °).

Can other happy owners check (by following P 119) if it's the same for their boiler?
Perhaps we will deduce the reasons.
Thank you all.

JC

Continually trying we finally succeed. So more it fails, the more likely it is that it works.

As I seemed to be the only customer with a smoke fan with erratic behavior, I asked the regional agency.
Here is the answer from an OKOFEN technician.
Regarding the operation of the exhaust fan, it actually works at 100% during the ignition phase and in stopping phase with decreasing speeds depending on the smoke T °.
In the modulation phase (0 to 17 level) the speed is automatically calculated by the modulation curves (PID control). So it is possible that at times it runs at 30% (low speed) low modulation then goes to 100% (max speed) when the boiler is running at nominal power.
The controller also automatically determines the speed of the combustion fan as well as the screw motor for feeding the pellets.

Although my math class dates a little ... (1961 terminator, integrals and derivatives) this response based on PID regulation has aroused my curiosity, I documented myself!
Then I camped in front of the boiler to track the data during a cycle (no recording because no USB output, just a CF card slot).

-11 am: gradual stop (45 / 1h), smoke temperature> 4 °; wind. 117%; if 100 °> smoke temperature> 117 °; wind. 107%. If smoke T ° <60 °; wind. 107%.
-12h 53: Starts. Smoke.55 °, wind.100%; then 78 °, wind. 75%; 100 °, wind.42%. 150 ° to 175 ° 39% to 36% with short 100% passes. 17 level modulation, boiler temperature 61 ° to 14 (warm temperature 66 °).
-13h 28: Modulation to 13; Hot t ° 68 °; T ° Smoke.178 °. Beginning of regular cycles. A true metronome! .. 10 min to 100% then 44 S to 30%.
The modulation slowly goes down to 0; heat ° T. 71 / 72 °; Smoke.154 / 151 ° for 1 h.
CMP type 1.4 (vers.2.31).

Does anyone know what the RS 232 serial output is next to the CF card slot. ?
Thank you

Typing error, modulation to 0 during 1 H ... Well, it is corrected on the old message.
