VMC AUTONOMOUS KITCHEN

by combet2 » 18/12/14, 22:58

Hello,

I need to remove the VMC air extractor in my kitchen. I want to replace it with an autonomous VMC also called VMR which would extract the air from the inside to the outside.
My kitchen is about 14 m2 and is completely open to the dining room of 14 m2 as well. In fact the separation is done by a return of the work plan.
Note that my breeze blocks are insulated with thin insulation covered with placo and that I have never installed air inlets (on the windows) and do not consider my house to be completely airtight.

My questions are:
- In my case a simple air extractor is sufficient (autonomous vmc - electric ventilator type) or is it better to install an autonomous double flow vmc to save on heating (the ductable pellet stove is in the kitchen )
- Do I need to add air inlets
- What flow rate do I need (m3 / h)

Looking forward to your answers and advice,

cordially
