each B17 molecule contains one unit of hydrogen cyanide, one unit of benzaldehyde and two units of glucose (sugar) that are well locked together. For hydrogen cyanide to become dangerous, you must first unlock the molecule that will release it, a trick that can only be done by an enzyme called beta-glucosidase, which is found everywhere in the human body, only in minute quantities, but on the other hand, in large quantities in one place: cancer cells.
Thus, the hydrogen cyanide is only unlocked at the site where the cancer is located, and this, with radical results, which become completely devastating for cancer cells, since the benzaldehyde unit is unlocked at the same time time. Cancer cells get a double hit, both cyanide and benzaldeyhde! Benzaldehyde is a deadly poison in itself, but when it teams up with cyanide, the result makes it 100 times more deadly than when it works alone. Cancer cells are literally obliterated!
But isn't all this safe for the rest of the body's cells? Another enzyme, rhodanese, still present in much greater amounts than the beta-glucosidase unlocking enzyme in healthy tissue, has the ability to degrade both cyanide and benzaldehyde, a thiocyanate, harmless), and salicylate (which is an aspirin-like pain killer). Interestingly, malignant cancer cells do not contain rhodanese at all, which leaves them completely at the mercy of the two deadly poisons. This whole process is known as selective toxicity, since only cancer cells are specifically targeted and destroyed.
The hundreds of clinical studies conducted by many knowledgeable doctors worldwide, including those led by Dr. Ernesto Contreras at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Mexico, give us complete confidence, that treatment with therapy B17 is safe for normal cells.
