Pop pop boat, an ecological toy

by oli 80 » 29/07/12, 21:55

Good evening, here is a toy that was known a long time ago, but which returns, the pop pop boat here is how to build it yourself http://www.lejardindekiran.com/construi ... le-deluxe/

http://clap54b.free.fr/poppop/moteur_poppopJPT.pdf

http://llegoff.chez.com/poppop/construct.html

sorry for all these links, we can also buy this prefabricated engine, just install it in a boat model made yourself

Good evening, I just wanted to clarify something,
the pop pop engine exists in 2 versions, the first is the membrane one as in the links,

the second is a serpentine tube made of copper or other metals, this one uses the principle of the thermosiphon, be careful that it is membrane or serpentine the suction and the discharge from one nozzle to the other can change

it doesn't stop the boat from moving forward : Mrgreen: : Mrgreen:

I had already tested a thermosyphon version.

I wonder the propulsive efficiency of this system (probably weak).

Hello, in fact you should know that this engine was previously experienced, in fact it was a question of making a self-powered water boiler to avoid each time filling the "pot" but the system was not powerful enough in terms of flow and pressure
here is the wiki link:
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moteur_pop-pop

still a model https://sites.google.com/site/moteurpoppopbalou/

lots of videos in this link
attention i was going to completely forget the padawan video

a video of the same kind as that of padawan

it looks like the thermosyphon model works almost on the fluidyne principle

membrane

by oli 80 » 01/09/12, 22:13

Good evening, in one of the links they made a membrane with the bottom of a jar of caramel yogurt, we can also use the lid of a jar of glass yogurt, this one is made of fine metal

the lids of milk bottles are too small and seem to be made of aluminum foil and plastic film, so it melts and deforms

for the lid of the glass yogurt pot proceed in the same way as with the aluminum caramel dessert pot from this link
http://www.lejardindekiran.com/construi ... le-deluxe/

here is a proof that we find everything we need to build a pop pop membrane engine

Good evening, here is a radio pop pop boat ordered
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LD8NtB9dMs
with practically nothing but recycling

finally model making becomes a passion that is no longer reserved for the wealthy, proof that we can achieve something with the means at hand
