In the 2012 Nobel Prize for Medicine:
IPS cells, which are adult cells reprogrammed to rejuvenate and recover the properties of embryonic stem cells (ES), are a source of hope for medical research for its potential therapeutic outlets.

Ok, I saw this! Unbelievable ...! Well, that seems to still pose some problems (formation of cancerous cells), but it is a little logical when one makes "go back in time" to these cells!

It's promising, it deserves a full thread, Gildas! ;)

Helping news, I just wanted to update the last message from dedeleco from the previous page.

Serge Haroche was the guest on France 2 this evening on the news but I didn't have time to watch.

Yes, it is not as simple to scientifically assess the work of a healer ( :!: )

However, at the University Hospitals of Geneva, they are doing it and are achieving it with some success! They use them in certain cases. Before saying "no, no, no ... it's not possible», They officially use it!

But it's not safe either. In cases where it is a placebo treatment, we have even seen myocardial infractus in patients who have not received an active substance! (Honestly, I didn't think it could go that far, but I extrapolate ... seen here ...> )

So there are charlatans (like everywhere), but certainly not all. On the other hand, enormous prudence of rigor, even if it is only the result that counts, in the end!

every consumer of chemical medicine is automatically a guinea pig. Indeed each drug having received its MA has been tested in isolation. However it is exceptional that only one drug is given to a patient and any mixture of product is a kind of Russian roulette since no test is made with various accumulated drugs (which would give hundreds of thousands of possible combinations) and therefore impossible to perform.
For IPS cells, what the work will not indicate is the consideration that this will generate. "You can't have your cake and eat it too"

The "secret makers" do not cure by the placebo effect.
For a placebo to work, at least the patient must be aware of taking the treatment, in short: it is necessary to bluff the brain!

The healers who use prayer, for example in the case of treatment of burns, most often operate remotely (by telephone) and without knowing of their patients.
