Low-cost TGV.

by sen-no-sen » 07/10/12, 17:20

The objective of this low-cost TGV is to offer "each year a million seats at less than 25 euros on the Paris-Lyon-Marseille-Montpellier axis," summarizes Barbara Dalibard, the director general in charge of the travel branch. of the SNCF. We will lower our costs to produce cheaper. Our main charges are the equipment and tolls paid to RFF. ” The trains of the TGV eco will carry more passengers than a classic train with a single class and basic comfort

"Low-cost" TGVs without 1st class or bar car, would the SNCF be affected by grace? : Mrgreen:
Only problem:

"We will serve" bis stations "where tolls are cheaper," underlines Barbara Dalibard.

Over time, perhaps the SNCF will understand that the system must be extended to the entire rail sector, and perhaps the government will in turn understand that more rail must be subsidized!

it shows another nonsense of the sncf!

to make it cheaper, new stations are needed to avoid tolling in the old ones!

It confirms that the big stations have absurd architectures! too expensive and useless! not even functional

the train is a technically economical transport spoiled by absurd management

overpriced stations are just one more problem

20 years ago it was known that you had to buy your ticket at a small station and not at Angouleme, even if the departure was Angouleme: the ticket was cheaper because it avoided paying the Angouleme station ...

It is not related to the architecture of Chatelot stations, but to the separation between RFF (French rail network) and SNCF.
It is also the same thing between RTE and EDF ... public service you said?
