Heck, I missed it but I had already seen similar subjects in other shows:

German HLM, French people discover as if by magic that when we do not isolate them with drafts it is energetically very interesting, we think we are dreaming !!!

For chip heating systems, compacted boilers and others, it works well since one of my agri neighbors is equipped with it and is happy with it (still plan a ventilated but covered space big enough to let dry the chips of crushing of where the worries of a use in town.

Hey say? all those uses of wood are all well and good, but do you think we're going to have enough? wood? :?:

For me, the answer is no with absolute certainty linked to my work.

-To have a wood chip boiler it is necessary to grind wood and therefore have trees or hedges in sufficient quantity not to grind faster than planting. The "selective" pruning that I could see made me scream because to gain in quantity we quickly tend to cut big (the branches are a little tight in terms of yield), the hedgerows where the wood is pulled are quickly slashed and the trees will die if we abuse :x

-These last 30 years, in my profession (carpenter) we have seen that despite the development of everything PVC windows (and other alternative materials ...), we use too much wood. Some local species have almost disappeared and the remaining stems are not worth much (Today you have to look to find a beautiful stalk of a tree that is as widespread as an oak). For exotic woods, entire countries have been exhausted. Our timber sellers also tell us that there will be a slack period of several years for fir trees in northern countries (the main suppliers of timber frame houses). They realized that the excessive sales of these last years have weakened their reserves and in order to ensure this important source of income they will have to block the sales to let the "little ones" grow.
In addition, the intensive exploitation of conifers has the annoying defect of increasing the acidity of the soil and nothing else grows. With us, the NFB has made little return, but oaks and other chestnuts are much less profitable for them.

Me, I love trees (I have 450 at home) but I'm not a fan of the exploitation that we do!

We refuse to cut down an oak tree because it is 20 years old and we let it rot on its feet and be eaten by the glasses, losing all its value (qualitative and commercial). At the same time we cut all the young people as soon as they are XNUMXcm in diameter to sell them without letting any age because it is too long to wait more! :x

I wonder if I haven't deviated a little there :P

Did they talk about the global timber reserves on the show? (here I came back to the subject : Cheesy: )

Super friendly toto65

The replay is for tomorrow at 10am otherwise
For an eco-friendly low-cost housing - Karlsruhe's bet redistribution Wednesday October 10 at 5 a.m.

To break the deadlock - Europe and energy no rerun

For more gas, the end of the trip? replay Saturday, October 6 at 11:15 a.m.

Like you jean63 I also felt uneasy after watching this program.
Not because I discovered (there is more information on Econologie.com, than on all the reports I have seen).
But more of the fact that elected officials from all over Europe did not understand
danger for future generations.
They try to bias laws that they have just voted in addition on measuring spoons and not for a real project and after they talk about building Europe, it tends to make me laugh yellow.
I would not speak of the USA, the USSR…. who do not make war better see worse to keep their monopolies too.

PS: great summary Christophe for Z (Shai'ullud) to see, the reports are very well done.

I have the 700MB Divx file
I wanted him to cut it out during encoding but it didn't work

You know a fairly simple method to cut it out
in 7 pieces of 100MB?

The simpler it will be, the better.
