How much does a solar generator / stirling 10kw

Renewable energies except solar electric or thermal (seeforums dedicated below): wind turbines, energy from the sea, hydraulic and hydroelectricity, biomass, biogas, deep geothermal energy ...

nitrogen has no advantage in stirling

the gases that give it great performance are helium and hydrogen ... both have very small molecules, so a lot of leakage

very expensive helium therefore reducing profitability!

cheap hydrogen if the machine has an electrolyser to produce it and compensate for leaks: the danger of explosion in the event of a leak remains to be managed

there are many people who worked on it: if someone had obtained an interesting price, it would be manufactured and sold in quantity!

if it remains experimental machine, it is not yet profitable: it will become soon with the increase in the price of energy

some technical tips to reduce the price of the stirling engine would be good to take too

Their Stirling works well with N2 under pressure, according to their image !!
It sells in France, but it is much more expensive than a simple Chinese stove at 300 € !!

I do not completely agree that it is not profitable, but rather that the economies of scale necessary to make these projects viable require initial investments which make the financiers cautious ...

Some examples of projects launched:
- small scale (9kW)
- medium scale in progress (10MW)
- synthesis

However, to be effective, you need strong direct sunlight, not ideal for northern Europe, but it is not the navel of the world!

To balance costs as much as possible with simplified manufacturing, and lower temperature cycles (450 to 600 °) but run in, some are turning to cylinder-parabolic and fresnel mirrors.

For the small scale, in France here some prices, but I don't think it's profitable ...

Can also make the request to Infinia, which has chosen a development based on large-scale manufacturing (components more or less from the automotive industry) ... but they still have to prove themselves in India.
