a flow meter to measure the conso?

by lolusroots » 08/12/04, 20:26

what do you think of the idea of putting a flow meter on the arrival of diesel from the vehicle to easily measure the consumption before and after the installation of a pantone reactor and also after adjustments or others !! Of course the measurement will be made with the same engine speed and on the flat and do you know where I can find this flow meter?

Pay attention to the operating temperatures, and also to the number of pulses per liter! Then you re-read that to what you want, the least expensive: a bike computer. Otherwise with a laptop is not bad for accuracy.

I just remembered in fact that on diesel injection pumps there is a return of fuel to the tank
in fact the pump supplied always too much diesel and what is not consumed by the engine is rejected to the tank so it will be necessary 2 debimeter and make the subtraction of the two values obtained
Anyone have any other idea?

for all measurements, do not forget to have a constant load:
