Yep, but that doesn't mean you have to replace the rim every time.

Michelin means that if you want to ride Tweel, you have to change the rim (but only once).

Correct, Michelin even indicates that only the tread needs to be replaced.
The "spokes" are not replaced either.
Suddenly, the "spokes" and the "rim" are integral (and if it is, not intended to be separated outside the factory).

Certainly, but a priori, no sale of a rim "only" then a "tire" Tweel.
We buy (would) "a Tweel" ... then treads.

I had the same on the caravan which served as the basis for my trailer ... Under the effect of the re-loading they fell apart very very quickly .. Mistrust behind a fast vehicle ...

Anyone know how the tape is joined? Welding? Collage? Other?

Same question on the method for removal after wear ...
