I don't think it will detect very dangerous Chernobyl plutonium dust one micron or less locally in the lungs!!!

Tchernobil has emitted very few elements like plutonium ... must stop fixing only on Tchernobil because it was nothing at all compared to the 521 (including 1 hidden test of Israel in the Indian Ocean off South Africa) atmospheric nuclear tests from 1945 to 1980 which emitted 100X more radionuclides which were sent around the world via the upper atmosphere ... In the 60's we were full of nazeaux in particular with the 57 Tsar bomb (1961Mt) which developed a mushroom 64km high ...

+1 birdfall
During atmospheric nuclear tests in the Pacific, they realized by following the clouds that its last in barely a week flew over ... Norway (jet stream requires).

After concerning radioactivity, it should not be forgotten that in certain regions of the world the rate of natural radioactivity and as important as in Chernobyl (as in Ramsar in Iran or Guarapari in Brazil for example).

The mode of dispersion is very different between a powerful bomb at thousands of degrees which disperses all vapors much more finely and a reactor which by burning, disperses dense solid particles certainly larger, because less violent !!

It seems difficult to be certain that the effects are similar.

The unlucky ones who will pay for themselves in the lungs or the intestine a radioactive particle of a few microns (plutonium or other short-lived), undetectable, will die without ever knowing the cause, while the risk with a single atom is much lower !! !

I can no longer find a site that explained this better than me !!
Finally, on google it is very clear, the nuclear lobby pays to click on the sites favorable to nuclear and thus make it difficult to find the other sites, a real disinformation !!!

As with the Louisiana oil spill, with the oil that keeps flowing from a small tanker a day, it will be too late, during the next Chernobyl, to discover that we have been lied to by declaring that Chernobyl is nothing compared to nuclear tests or the radioactivity of a volcano !!

We are ready for the serious nuclear accident as for the floods and to evacuate (on paper) !!!!!

Radioactive volcano:

But this well-dispersed natural radioactivity only contains very long-lived radioactive elements with the age of the earth!
