13 Press Release March 2011 to 08h30

Ongoing meltdown and risk of explosion on a second reactor at the Fukushima plant - very serious consequences!

According to our latest information, after the reactor core No. 1, it would be the turn of the reactor core No. 3 of the Fukushima nuclear power plant to merge and risk the explosion.
Following the failure of the cooling systems, the fuel rods, which measure 3,71 meters (1), would be discovered on a height of 3 meters (2)!

Already, radioactivity reaches a level 400 times higher than normal at Miyagi prefecture, distant from 80 km (3)!

The conditions were met for a core meltdown ... especially since this reactor is powered by MOX, an extremely dangerous plutonium-based fuel that is more easily melted than conventional fuels. The toxicity of this radioelement is formidable: it is enough to inhale a particle to develop lung cancer (4).

This is a major disaster looming, even as the Japanese Meteorological Agency announces that severe seismic aftershocks are to be feared in the coming days!

The “Sortir du nuclear” Network reminds that 20 of the 58 French nuclear reactors also operate with MOX (4), at the Gravelines, Dampierre, Blayais, Tricastin, Chinon and Saint Laurent sites.

It is urgent to get out of the nuclear madness!

For my part, it has already been done, but I must admit that the principle of the "consumer vote" (making things change by choosing to buy) annoys me to the highest point, and proves that we are now in a situation “Merchant Citizenship” approach. : Evil:

I recall in passing that it was a gentleman (currently Head of State) who had decided (in agreement with Areva of course) when he was Minister of Industry for the energy orientation of France (almost all Nuke) in defiance of the "Vox populi" and the more virtuous choices that could have resulted from it ....

I do not understand very well; it is the only valid and durable method against the abuses of lobbies ...

Exactly the consumer vote is what counts economically! So the vox populi can be heard in this way!

So let's dream a bit; what would happen if 10 million French people signed a green contract in 2011? I mean, could Edf follow? Where would the nuclear kWh pass?

In my opinion it may be a solution, the whole thing is to see what would really happen : Evil:
