Is a new (recent) version motorcycle better than its old model? Or? No? Not sure...?
Moto Mag of October 2010 tried to answer the question by comparing 8 motorcycles of 4 models compared to their temporal evolution and different criteria: consumption, weight, times, price, performance (power / torque) ... as well as (somewhat) more subjective criteria such as equipment, comfort, handling, protection ...

Time zone motorcycles:
- HONDA VFR 800 VS VFR 1200 DTC
- YAMAHA Super Tenere 750 VS 1200
- TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE 900 vs. 1050
-DUCATI 748 VS 848
This on, up to 20 years of age difference (the Ténéré old model dates from 1990!):
The approach is interesting from an econological point of view: the used old is sometimes better than the new ...
So I scanned the introduction and the comparative part VFR 800 / VFR 1200 since you know that I like this bike (I have a 750 from 1994 which consumes 5L / 100) ... finally until the moment when she lost her cascade of gables ... (2002 with Vtec) ... For the rest: there is more to buy the magazine.
Some auto journalists should be inspired by this approach instead of always licking the ass of the "always more" car manufacturers ...
Is it better to buy a used or new motorcycle?
