IFP and TUNECHARGER join forces to develop battery regeneration equipment

IFP and TuneCharger have signed an R&D partnership agreement to increase the performance of battery regeneration tools marketed by TuneCharger under the Bat4life brand.

This regeneration equipment uses a patented VHP® (very high pulse) technology which consists in applying very high intensity pulses to the terminals of a battery, thus making it possible to extend its lifespan.

The work carried out as part of the collaboration between IFP and TuneCharger will focus on the characterization and quantification of the physico-chemical processes involved during this regeneration in order to further improve the longevity of the batteries. Applied initially to lead-acid batteries, this work will eventually be extended to all types of batteries.

This partnership is set up as part of the technological support that IFP offers to SMEs to bring their innovations to the market. In this case, IFP will make available to TuneCharger its scientific skills and its testing means in the field of batteries.

Thanks to this partnership, TuneCharger will develop its skills in the field of electrochemistry and benefit from high-level technical and scientific know-how. "It is a real chance for our company, declared Franck Vallée, Managing Director of TuneCharger, to benefit from the support of IFP because it allows us to access high-performance resources that an SME like ours could not have. otherwise."

About IFP
IFP is a public research and training organization with internationally recognized expertise, the mission of which is to develop the technologies and materials of the future in the fields of energy, transport and the environment. It provides public players and the industry with innovative solutions for a controlled transition to the energies and materials of tomorrow, more efficient, more economical, cleaner and sustainable.
IFP supports the economic development of SMEs by giving them access to its technical resources, scientific skills and know-how in the industrialization of innovative products or processes, through balanced R&D partnership contracts. For more information on IFP's support policy for SMEs.

About TUNECHARGER
The company TuneCharger (4 employees), offers solutions to strengthen the autonomy in electrical energy of on-board systems. As part of the development of its pulse charging innovation, TuneCharger offers, under the Bat4life brand, battery regeneration tools for the automotive, transport, public works, marine and government sectors. Among the latest Bat4life references: the army, several vocational high schools, used vehicle garages as well as town halls have equipped themselves with battery regeneration tools, two pilot sites are testing the next WPRO TRUCK tool intended for large capacity batteries on board semi-trailers. Bat4life will be presented at EQUIPAUTO from October 13 to 18.
Composed of a team of engineers with more than 15 years of experience in electronics and industrial computing, TuneCharger offers its services in integration of its technology of chargers / regenerators and low consumption computing intended for autonomous systems. www.tunecharger.com/en et www.bat4life.com/en
