CODEX ALIMENTARIUS = 3 billion dead

by I Citro » 07/09/08, 09:58

: Arrow: This week I received 2 information related to food which are surely related:

MRLs or Maximum Limits of Pesticide Residues (MRLs). The change and harmonization of European standards in this area are worrying specialists who see it as a step back in legislation for the benefit of pesticide producers.

This information seems very worrying if this upgrade aims to comply with the CODEX ALIMENTARIUS.

I invite you to watch the

CODEX ALIMENTARIUS video spooky...
Not knowing how to insert the links to daily motion, I put the page of the original site of this video: noslibertes.org. it is an interesting site even if the navigation lacks a little user-friendliness and fluidity. :|

The codex is also the opening to the sale of irradiated food, under the pretext that it is necessary to be able to transport them further.

On the Noslibertés.com site, there is also an edifying report on the manipulation of data on mortality from passive smoking. Not that it is not harmful, but rather that these data have been deliberately and abusively magnified, forgetting the benefits that tobacco can have and systematically denigrating it.

What is funny is that these decisions of the WHO condition the decisions of the national ministries, yet you know of national elections to elect the members of the WHO.

The very existence of Codex is one of the many proofs of the predominant importance of a group of unelected leaders imposing these decisions on elected leaders of all countries of the world ... The same goes with the WTO, the BMI , the FAO and many others ... So let those who want to make money, write laws authorizing only their products, whether they are dangerous or not. So let's let them treat us like a commodity, it's so nice! : Evil: Long live capitalism, above all, let's not question it! It could be risky to move towards a more egalitarian system! :frown:

Sorry, finding this video that I watched a few months ago and not seeing anything move since, that pisses me off ...

Thank you for the clarification. Normal to be pissed off, I too am, about many other words that undermine our health, our freedoms, our environment, .... etc.
The problem is that we feel powerless to act individually, that we cannot count on the powers that be (or those who constitute a declared opposition force) to change or overturn decisions, almost dogmas that have been put in place internationally by lobbying.
Can a country unilaterally decide to leave the WTO? undoubtedly yes ... but what can be the economic consequences? For all that, would France's trade balance be worse? not so sure.

For me the solution is to constitute, on an international scale, via the Internet in particular, the counterpart of these international organizations, with the aim of the well-being of humanity and its environment and not its exploitation.
At the individual level, sites like Facebook, hi5 or others prove that a social link is lacking, that each of us is lacking in human relations; I think there is a lot to be done on this side to build a counter power.

: Arrow: I find the subject well worth a debate.
The think that this space is ideal.

I just added a poll, my first ...
This kind of approach is likely to give more weight to our discussions. : Arrowl:

... little up on this shit that is the Codex ...

[Edit] I especially wonder if this is applicable.

On the other hand, there is the other side of the coin. If the Codex is revised in the right direction, then it would become a weapon on improving health in the world. It's a double-edged sword ...
