Instead of normal gears,
could you use magnetic gears?

It was just an idea like that.

Hello

it is possible, we tested but with some major drawbacks.
A) the cost: this quadruple the cost of a turbine and increases the weight reducing the speed of rotation.
B) we lose a lot when starting in very low wind speeds.

for the moment the gear remains the most economical.

Too bad your site is not in French.

We have a project for Madagascar, with a daily consumption of 20000 w.
Can you in MP contact me?

What a pleasant surprise tonight to read all the answers about me and especially your answers!

I live in Denmark where there is a lot of wind and I want to power, a (or 2) 100W lamp for 6 to 8 hours a day. So a consumption of 0,6 to 0,8 kWh / day.

What setup do you recommend?
Can you ship from the EEC because if you order on your site the material comes from HK and have to pay an import and customs tax?

Hello
thank you for initiating this discussion.

the first of all questions to ask yourself is:
your consumption of 100 W can be reduced.
are you using an old standard incandescent lamp?
is it replaceable by fluorescent tube? or by LED.
if you can use an application which is in 12 or 24 volts direct this avoids the use of modulator and thus avoids a lot of losses.

for 0.6 0.8 kWh / day in Denmark where the wind is generally greater than 5m / s a single unit of 20 turbines should suffice.
you need 2 12 V car batteries in series to have 24 V.

I have already shipped some units to Denmark.
by sending by post and without attached invoices my customers did not pay customs duties or even VAT.
of course no guarantee that it works at all costs.
it costs around thirty Euros to ship to Northern Europe (4 weeks) or 60-70 Euros by plane (4 days).

I hope to have a platform in Europe but not for a few months because the investments are concentrated on the poor countries.
Africa-South America-Asia-India-North Koree- etc etc.

hello I allow myself to bring up this subject a little because I think that it is towards this option that I will orient myself for my on-board nacelle
I sent a pti word to explain my point on the contact email of the company I await a return from them and I sincerely believe that it did well with my problem
thank you again to the creator of econologie.com for the mass of technical information that it brings together, it's really a super interesting job (I take care of a forum also on another subject - violin making - suddenly I know what I'm talking about !!)

thanks again
ps: has anyone tried these micro turbines for a while?
